Privacy policy

This website collects very little. There is no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. This page explains the small amount of personal data we do handle, why, and what your rights are.

What we collect and why

The contact form. If you send us a message we receive the name, email address, optional company name and message you type. We use these only to read and reply to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where the enquiry leads to work, taking steps to enter a contract with you.

Along with the message, the form records the country the request came from and the time it was sent, which helps us spot abuse. The message is delivered to us by email and is not stored in any database on this website.

Bot protection. The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than an automated script. To do this Cloudflare processes technical information about your browser and connection. Turnstile may store a small amount of data in your browser to complete the check. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to that processing.

Hosting logs. This site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare records standard technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors.

Cookies

We do not set cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking, and we do not use any third-party analytics service. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies or use local storage as part of bot protection and security. These are not used to track you across other sites.

Who we share data with

We do not sell or share your data with anyone for marketing. Your data is processed by Cloudflare, which hosts this website, runs the bot protection and delivers contact form messages to our mailbox, and by Google, which provides the mailbox where messages arrive. Both act as our processors under contract. We may also share data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages are kept in our mailbox for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and are deleted when no longer needed. Cloudflare retains its technical logs for a limited period according to its own policies.

International transfers

Cloudflare and Google operate globally, so data may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens it is covered by the UK's adequacy regulations or by the standard contractual safeguards those providers offer.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and in some cases to have it transferred to you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the form on the home page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles personal data we will update this page and the date at the top.
